26th March 2024

Post by JohnW »

26th March. SE Australia.
A nice sunny day with good sky conditions.
The large active region AR3615 continues to evolve into a nice cluster as it moves across the sun towards the western limb. The first image at 540 nm shows its position today together with the other sunspot regions. The second image at 656 nm (Ha) shows the western sector and flaring around AR3615. The third image also at 656 nm (Ha) is a close up view of AR 3615. All images are single exposures with a Canon 550d. Thanks for viewing.
WO 81 refractor + Herschel wedge, Lunt 100 Ha scope.
